Our New GAL-entine is on the way!

I’m thrilled to share a recent special moment that happened, and it involves my dear friend Sara, who is not only my go-to event stylist but also the creative force that stands by me with all my events. After a journey filled with hope and anticipation, Sara and her husband were blessed with the arrival of their long-awaited baby. The news brought immeasurable joy to our lives, prompting me to organize an unforgettable celebration in honor of this precious addition.

As someone who has always been the cornerstone of our friend group, gathering us together and orchestrating memorable occasions, Sara truly deserved an extraordinary baby sprinkle. With her due date just before Valentine’s Day, it seemed fitting to embrace a Gal-entine theme with a delightful twist of winter charm. Planning the perfect look for the party was an intriguing task, but I managed to accomplish it by combining heart motifs, boho dried palm leaves, and winter berries in a soft and enchanting color palette. To add a personal touch, I created a stunning DIY diaper cake as the centerpiece, adorned with matching baby headband bows, adorable princess shoes, and other charming prints available on our Etsy shop.

We decided to celebrate at the picturesque Nolita Hall in San Diego, specifically in one of their enchanting outdoor gazebos. It was an ideal venue that perfectly complemented our winter-themed Gal-entine extravaganza, and everyone reveled in the festivities. Witnessing Sara surrounded by an outpouring of love and support from her cherished friends brought indescribable joy to our hearts.

In conclusion, I feel immensely grateful to have shared this remarkable moment with Sara and her precious bundle of joy. I hope this heartwarming tale inspires you to discover inventive and imaginative ways to celebrate your loved ones, even during the colder months of the year. Remember, at Dohlhouse Designs, all the graphics you need can be found on our Etsy shop, ensuring your events are infused with creativity and style.

  • And So The Adventure Begins…

    And So The Adventure Begins…

It was a busy weekend following the holiday season because i organizing a baby shower for Jennifer and Howard. After wrapping up Christmas and New Year’s, I was excited to put together an Adventure Awaits-themed celebration for the couple who were expecting their first baby, a boy.

The chosen venue for the party was the Mendocino Farms restaurant in La Jolla, California. We were thrilled with the restaurant’s beauty and how accommodating the employees were. The space was perfect for the occasion.

To create the perfect atmosphere, we made our own DIY diaper cake, hung balloon clusters shaped like clouds, and handmade paper lantern hot air balloons all around the restaurant. The decorations added a magical touch to the Adventure Awaits theme and made the couple feel special.

We bought snacks and sweets to make sure everyone had something to nibble on during the party. The star of the dessert table was Angela’s delicious cookies, which everyone couldn’t stop raving about. Angela, the baker from Wednesday Cakes, was a hit with everyone at the party. She is talented, sweet, and cute, and her baked goods were fantastic.

The party was a huge success, and everyone had a great time celebrating Jennifer and Howard’s baby boy. The Adventure Awaits theme made the event unforgettable, and everyone left with happy memories of the beautiful day.

“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” inspired Baby shower

My girlfriend was having a baby girl and we thought how cute would it be to have breakfast at her home. So we decided to go with a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” Inspired baby shower. We were a little afraid that it would seen too much like a boy shower because of the tiffany blue, but I think the design is so pretty that it would be good for both boy and girl.
